Peter Jones The curator of these releases must have a very hard time choosing which tracks make it to a release. These are all fantastic - and in a range of styles, so it's well worth giving the album a go. You could find a new band you really love and _need_ to buy all their music.

The production here is also very "coherent" -- these don't sound like tracks just cut-n-pasted from elsewhere with little care. The release has a very consistent quality of sound to it.

A group that I know only too well, I’ve been with them for nearly 30 years; from their Glaswegian basement origins to their current status as Arena band. My enthusiasm for their later output may have tempered somewhat as the mighty ‘Gwai evolved their sound to avoid pigeonholing, but there is nothing better than when they lay waste to a venue via the sheer euphoria of ‘Helicon 1’.
